On Monday, August 21st, members of SAM Assembly #206 and the members of IBM Ring 60 met together for the annual White Rabbit Gift Exchange to close out the summer meetings. There were a few highly coveted items that were stolen more than once, but in the end everyone left with a gift.
After a short break Robert Castillo opened the member performances with some mentalism and a little rising card before revealing the selected card in the photo on his shirt!
Rob Terry then followed up by having cards selected that he revealed one after the other with just a few cuts into a newspaper.
Bobby Cordell then performed a fun coin through bottle routine before showing an Ace vanish and assembly that he’s been working on.
Tim Dietz continued the trend of coin penetrations by having a signed nickel appear inside of a sealed can of soda!
Josh Glantzberg then showed an original effect he’s been working on that uses an interlocking plastic toy brick system (that definitely aren’t Legos) where he predicts the same stack of colors the spectator freely assembles.
Trisha Heil Davis continued the mentalism theme by handing out cards with horror film posters on them and then divining each person’s selection. Finally, Austin Berg finished out the member performances by finding a freely called for card.
We hope that more magicians from the Austin area (or even those that happen to be in town) can join us for the meeting in September which we hope will see some cooler weather!
