About US

What's the Society of American Magicians?   It's the organization that has counted among its members the most famous names in magic in the last century.  That's right, from Harry Houdini to David Copperfield, SAM is the gathering place for the best and brightest in magic!

We are Austin's local assembly (or chapter) of SAM.  Here, magicians and friends of magic gather to talk, learn, teach, watch and enjoy the magical arts.  SAM 206 is a nonprofit focused on preserving, promoting and advancing magic in Austin.  Whether you are a professional magician, hobbyist, ready to learn your first magic trick, or just want to share in the love of magic, SAM 206 is the place for you.  

Who knows?  Maybe one day you (or someone you meet in our assembly) will be the next headliner on the Vegas strip!
