June SAM Assembly 206 Meeting
The June meeting of SAM Assembly 206 will be on Monday, June 15th at 7:00 PM in the meeting room at Hilgers House.
We’re excited to have Peter X from Houston, who runs Magic & Cards, coming to the June meeting. Peter designed and produced the Bicycle Invoked Playing Cards, a versatile marked deck that allows you to perform miracles easily! He’s going to talk to us about marking your own decks and how and when to use marked cards, and the different types and ways to mark cards. He’ll also be teaching a few tricks of his own. A free copy of the lecture notes will be available to download, and he'll also have some items available for purchase.
At the May meeting, Adam Dunraven discussed scripting and the value of incorporating storytelling into your magic. He showed how storytelling can transform a simple trick into an experience that spectators will be talking about long after the show. He also gave us a preview of this year’s Hilgers Haunted Nights, which looks to be even better than last year’s!
Our newest member, Abi, took advantage of a feedback session, showing a fun Cups & Balls routine that generated a lot of great ideas on different directions he could take it.
Bring something you want help with to the June meeting to get feedback on, or something for Open Mic that you just want to show off.

I’ll be on the road to Colorado in June, but Vice President Josh Glantzberg will be there to keep everyone in line at the next meeting on Monday, June 15th, at 7:00 PM in the Hilgers House meeting room.
