Exploring Magic's Allied Arts
This month's meeting on May 19th at Hilgers House, will examine magic's allied arts. We will discuss and learn about juggling, ventriloquism, and hypnosis. We will take advantage of the new space at Hilgers House, stretching our legs and figuring out how these arts can further enhance an amazing show. Who knows, maybe you will figure out how to incorporate one of them into your new magic effect.
Broken Wand Ceremony
We will take time in this meeting to honor two of our favorites who have gone too soon. While being accomplished magicians, both were well known allied arts performers. We will perform a broken wand ceremony for Paprika Leaverton, who recently passed away. While being a great magician, putting theater at the forefront of her magic, she was also a very accomplished juggler. We will also perform a broken wand ceremony for Ian Varella. A great magician, lighting up rooms with comedy, Ian was an amazing ventriloquist. Join us as we honor both of these great magicians!
Open Mic
Come and dazzle us with your favorite effect or routine you are working on. Feel free to come and show us your amazing skills at an allied art as well. This is your time to shine amongst your peers! Have fun with it!
